Pastor's Anniversary

On the third Sunday in February, annually we express our love and appreciation for our spiritual leader by honoring and celebrating his years of service as pastor of our church. We make this a special and memorable occasion for him as we praise God and thank Him for the loving and caring leadership our shepherd has given to his flock.

Women's Day

The chairperson and/or the committee, along with the pastor designate a Sunday in May for this annual event. The women of Pleasant View, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, come together to provide spiritual leadership and oversight of our 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. worship services through songs of praise and a guest speaker, speaking encouraging words aimed at strengthening the faith of the congregation.

Men's Day

The men of Pleasant View come together annually to celebrate this event on a Sunday in June chosen by the chairperson and his committee, along with the pastor. As a community of men in the church, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they provide spiritual leadership and oversight of 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. worship services for lifting up the congregation and for building up Christ's Kingdom. They give service to the Lord through songs of praise and a guest minister speaking encouraging words aimed at strengthening the faith of the congregation.

Vacation Bible School

This annual event held the second week in June at the church is designed to reach people of all ages, leading them to know and respond to Jesus Christ as led by the Holy Spirit. A fun-filled, spiritual adventure will encourage concentrated Bible study and real-life application.

Friends and Family Day

This annual fun-filled event is held the third Sunday in July (rain or shine). Festivities are generally held on the church property (the front lawn or Jackson Fellowship Hall).

This special day in the life of the church is set-aside for friends, family, and old and new members to fellowship with one another in worship, food, and fun. Youth Revival

An annual event which takes place every year in August is designed with our youth in mind. The youth ministry of Pleasant View invites a guest speaker to come and minister to our youth, members, and friends, to revive us, through the spoken word, three or four evenings during the week. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, youth of the church come together to provide spiritual leadership and oversight of evening worship service through songs of praise and preaching encouraging words aimed at reviving and strengthening the faith of the congregation.

Singles Appreciation Day

This annual event is held each fifth Sunday in September. This ministry promotes a Christian standard of living through application of Biblical principles to issues that are relevant to the daily lives of today's single men and women ages eighteen and older.

Church Anniversary/Musical

We praise the Lord for what He has done in the midst of the church over the years during this truly distinctive and joyous occasion that is celebrated annually on the third Sunday in October. It is a time when we celebrate the founding of the church, its history, its ministry to people, and the community. It is a time when we look back over the years and reflect on just how far God has brought us, and it is a time when we look forward to the future with renewed faith, hope, vision, and commitment.

In addition, the Music Ministry performs a musical concert that evening for the glory of God. All are welcome to attend this free musical concert. This concert is usually packed, so we advise that you come early to secure a seat.
