Music Ministry

The primary focus of the Music Ministry is to provide music for all worship services. It is designed to help the congregation develop a spiritual mind and attitude toward worship, to improve the flow in our worship service, and to help the congregation gain a richer and more meaningful spiritual experience through songs of praise and worship.

Our worship services are dedicated to praising and worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and tend to lean toward the contemporary method of worship, which is defined by the style of music, more praise-song oriented, and the instruments we use are as follows: organ, piano, bass guitar, saxophone, drums, and other percussion instruments.

Once a year the choirs perform together during our church anniversary musical, along with instrument accompaniment.

Under the direction of our Minister of Music our choirs add their melodious voices to the life of the church. Our musicians provide music for each choir.

Our Music Ministry is composed of the following:

Praise and Worship Team - The Praise and Worship Team commences praise and worship singing about 15 minutes before the start of our 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services, respectively. They motivate the congregation to prepare their minds, hearts, and souls for worship service through uplifting music and songs that praise and glorify God. The Praise and Worship Team practices each Friday evening at 7 p.m.

Anointed Voices of Praise- Our Anointed Voices of Praise Choir continues after the Praise and Worship Team to set the tone and atmosphere for the 8 a.m. worship service. This choir combines their voices and motivates the congregation to prepare their minds, hearts, and souls for the upcoming sermon through inspiring and uplifting contemporary music that glorifies God. The Anointed Voices of Praise Choir practices each Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Church Choir - Our Church Choir leads the congregation in hymns of faith, praise songs that uplift and glorify God, occasional anthems, and they make a joyful noise unto the Lord singing contemporary songs. Our music includes a wide variety so that singers and worshipers are motivated, stimulated, and inspired by songs that appeal to all age groups. It is our hope that our congregation is led to praise God more fully, that they are strengthened and that their faith is deepened through our music.

We provide musical opportunities for all ages to use and share their musical talents gifted to them by God. The Church Choir performs each first, third, and fourth Sunday at our 10:45 a.m. worship service, and they rehearse each Thursday evening at 7 p.m.

Celestial Choir - Our Celestial Choir is an integral part of the worship experience as they provide our congregation with music that glorifies God, and lifts up the congregation. They explore the musical rhythm through shaking the tambourine, clapping, dancing, and swaying to the beat of spiritual music played by our musicians. This choir sings at our 10:45 a.m. worship service on youth Sunday, which is the second Sunday of the month, and they practice each Tuesday at 6 p.m. To participate in this choir, youth must be between the ages of 13 to 19 years old.

Kidz Singing Praize Choir - Our Kidz Singing Praize Choir is a vital part of the worship experience as the kids lift their voices and sing praises to the Lord, and help to engage the congregation in a true worship experience through song. The Kidz Singing Praize Choir sings at our 10:45 a.m. worship service each second and fourth Sunday, and they practice every Thursday at 6 p.m. For participation in this choir, children must be at least four but not older than 12 years of age.

Brotherhood Choir - Our Brotherhood Choir, which is another vital part of the worship experience, lift their deep voices and sing praises to the Lord, and help to engage the congregation in a true worship experience through song each fifth Sunday at our 10:45 a.m. worship service. This choir is comprised of male members of the church
